Repair & Improve!
People choose cosmetic dental procedures for various reasons – to repair a defect such as a malformed bite or crooked teeth, treat an injury, or just improve their overall appearance. For these and many other reasons, cosmetic dentistry has become a vital and important part of the dental profession and one of the fastest growing areas of dentistry. For example, tooth-whitening procedures have tripled over the past five years.
Common cosmetic dental procedures can be performed to correct misshaped, discolored, chipped or missing teeth. It also can be used to change the overall shape of teeth – from teeth that are too long or short, have gaps, or simply need to be reshaped.
Alternative, natural-looking materials to conventional silver-colored fillings made from porcelain and composite resins, which are colored to match natural tooth enamel.
A tooth-colored material that looks like the enamel of your teeth and used to improve the color of a tooth, or close unsightly gaps.
Procedures that reverse the effects of such things as aging, food and tobacco stains, and medication use.
Dr. Giordano prefers a take-home system to whiten our patients’ teeth. You can choose to whiten during the day or at night while you sleep.
The process is easy! We will take impressions, make you upper and lower trays, and give you the whitening materials along with the simple instructions. Use the trays until you are happy with the color. You can then use them to freshen up your smile whenever you want.
Please note: Not everyone is a candidate for whitening. Crowns and existing fillings will not whiten. So if you have crowns/fillings on your front teeth and try to whiten, you will end up with varying shades. Also, those people with very dark or stained teeth might need additional whitening care.
An initial evaluation is needed to make sure that you are a good candidate for this system. Call today, and get your smile whiter!
Special thin laminates, called veneers, used to cover stains, correct discolored, worn down, cracked and chipped teeth, and close unsightly gaps between teeth.
Cosmetic contouring and reshaping
A relatively simple procedure that can correct crooked, chipped, cracked, and even overlapping teeth.
Synthetic caps, usually made of a material like porcelain, that can be placed on the top of a tooth to restore its function and appearance, attach bridges, cover implants, or prevent a cracked tooth from becoming worse.
Performed to reshape gums and bone tissue, and often used to correct a “gummy” smile.
Natural-looking dental appliances that can replace a section of missing teeth and restore the natural contour of your teeth as well as the proper bite relationship between upper and lower teeth. Bridges are sometimes referred to as fixed partial dentures, because they are semi-permanent and are bonded to existing teeth or implants.
Lightweight dentures that mimic the look and feel of natural teeth. Most dentures are made from a combination of metals and synthetic material such as acrylic resin, and can be either partial or complete sets.
Excessive or uneven gums
Gum lifts or soft tissue grafts can be used to even gum lines, or cover an exposed root.
A procedure that can shore up dents and other abnormalities in your gum line.
Small pieces of tissue taken from other areas such as the palate and surgically implanted to correct severe gum disease, cover exposed roots, stop bone loss and gum recession, and even reduce pain-causing root sensitivity.
Replacement of lost gum tissue
Gum tissue can be augmented or replaced by a variety of means, including soft tissue grafts.
Synthetic structures that are placed in the area of the tooth normally occupied by the root. Implants are sometimes a viable alternative to partial dentures.
A smile is our greeting card, the warm “hello”. When our teeth make us uncomfortable, or even unhappy, there is little to smile about. That was how I felt about my teeth, and while it didn’t stop me from smiling, I would do so without showing my teeth.
So often people stop me, praise my beautiful smile and comment how fortunate I am to have such perfect teeth. With a big grin, I am proud to credit our move here and finding the best dentist, Dr. Louis Giordano.
Walking down the street or through the store, I am quick to say “hello” with my smile.
The six week PerioGel treatment tray had a resounding positive effect on my gums. Before treatment my gums were painful and swollen. Two weeks into treatment they were less painful and the gum bleeding had diminished. After the six weeks they are pink, healthy, and pain-free.
Heather explained each step in a way that gave me confidence in preparing and carrying out the PerioGel treatment at home. The treatment does take time and effort, but I feel it has been a very worthwhile investment in the health and future of my gums and teeth.

I approached your business because I had heard many positive stories from people who had been previously treated by you. I’m happy to say I listened to them and I took action.
I came to you because I was experiencing a lot of pain associated with my clenching and grinding of my jaw/teeth. You took the time to really listen to my concerns. You spent a good amount of time examining my bite. Based on your findings, you crafted an appliance for me that allows my jaw to find “rest”. You also adjusted my bite.
I’m happy with the result and want to thank you for your expertise, as well as, your wonderful bedside manner.

I had no idea where to turn. First, I thought it was an ear issue or a tooth problem, but neither was the cause. The pain was unbearable to say the least. Ready to try anything, my dentist suggested I try Dr. Giordano and Thank God! After my initial appointment, a device to wear, and an amazing staff, I was on my way to relief after months of agony and happily pain-free today! Thank you Dr. Giordano and your great team.

I can’t thank Dr. Giordano enough! I can actually chew on the right side of my mouth without pain for the first time in years! No other dentist had been able to figure out why I still had pain after having root canals. I was told that Dr. Giordano was such a great dentist so I thought I would give him a try. I am so glad that I did! His equipment is state of the art and his dentistry is perfection! He took the time needed to figure out my bite issue.
I also want to say that his office staff are the most pleasant, knowledgeable and professional people that I have experienced. Insurance claims are always submitted promptly too.
I have been recommending Dr. Giordano to everyone I know! I can’t thank him enough for helping me!
I was referred to Dr. Giordano by my family physician for jaw, neck and head pain. The office was warm and friendly, the receptionist was more than helpful working with my insurance to get the best coverage for me. After my initial testing and finding out I had TMJ, I was seen four more times and my pain and symptoms are 98-100% better! I would highly recommend Dr. Louis Giordano and his staff.
